Monitor the residual where the water is stored and used.
Choose a representative point
Reservoirs and distribution systems need a measurement that reflects the water being assessed. Review mixing, turnover, location and access before choosing an immersion or in-pipe arrangement.
Variable and zero external flow
Halogen’s integral circulation is intended to control conditions close to the sensing surfaces. This supports suitable zero external-flow and variable-flow duties within the selected model’s limits. It does not make an unrepresentative or poorly mixed sample point representative: review tank turnover, location and immersion conditions separately.
Consider sample-water loss
Direct immersion or an appropriate in-pipe installation can avoid a continuous sample-to-drain stream. A side-stream system may still require a drain or pump, so compare the complete arrangement.
Engineer the remote package
Power, telemetry, logging, communications coverage and maintenance access all affect a remote installation. Battery, solar and cloud options require a specified package rather than an assumed standard inclusion.
